hey all just wondering how to get more bottom end out of my 82 rm250. i love the power but its got nothing down low or do i just have to live with it

Increase the compression ratio, lower the cylinder and add a 20mm spacer between the pipe and cylinder

I had boyesen reeds in mine which didn't help. I replaced them with stock reeds and it made the bike much smoother and tractable. It was still crazy in the top end but much more rideable.

Clutch it ;D

Wack a new piston and rings in it.
My 82 was the holeshot king!

83 CR250's are a great bike!
The 84 RM250 cylinder is more torquey with more bottom end than the '82.
Machining 20 thou from the bottom of your '82 cylinder will help in 2 ways by lowering the exhaust port and raising the compression..
