Title: Don't be fooled, it's not what it appears
Post by: cyclegod on April 16, 2008, 07:24:27 pm
Found listed as a NOS TM125 pipe but the pics show it to be a hop-up kit pipe for the TS185 (I know I have one  :o)

That what I said ! I've emailed him about it but he doesn't change his listings, he fast becoming a rip-off merchant. This is sad because the guy generally is pretty good to get parts from but he started the dodgy listings with the NOS 185 hop-up kit airboxes being listed as TM125 ones (I bought one  :() and he has gone down hill from there.

well i just went and had a good look at a rm 125 m barrel well thats what it is supposed be .i was the lucky winner of that one in january this year it was a new barrel and piston and rings  and gasket kit  i was so happy i got it for $99 .iput it a side for late and did not have areal good look. till a mate was over on the week end and had a look and said its a ts barrel .after closer look found metal filling some one had done some drilling i have been buying lots of things from this guy and only after reading this cyclegod.looked a bit harder.now that happy feeling about this part has made me feel a bit silly. have sent email to ask what happen to the rm barrel that it was so post to be.

Don't worry ED, made the same mistake myself on the odd occasion. I'd be interested in having a look at that TS barrel to see what's been done. Easiest way to tell the barrels by looking at a picture is RM125S has 1 fin above the inlet, RM125M has 2 and TS125 has 3. Bit late with the imfo sorry but there is a possibility you could recoup the funds if the seller doesn't want to play ball...I may even be interested the TS top end myself ;) did it happen to come from Paul Miller or from Thailand?

Well done CG, at least now both those items have been removed "due to an error in listing". - that's a start, but maybe now he's awake to the fact that he is under a degree of scrutiny and won't continue to try it on.

I feel he'll be wary also GD as I also emailed him about these errors in listings quite bluntly.. I have bought quite a few bits from Paul and I stood by what I said as to him being 'normally' a good seller with whom I've had no issues at all..until now..3 like this will also have me looking more closely, thanks Mick and I stand corrected  ;)
