I'll start if off with this gem, I think it's Liverpool Speedway in Syd but I'd love to know who & where.

Do they still make the Crash and Burn magazine? I've got a few copies stashed away that are still good for a laugh

It's a bad lookin' prang allright, rider is Garry Moore, track is Kembla Grange and the bike is an Aussie " Dirtrax".

Ahaa, thanks Foss, probably that bloody horrible squared off turn 4.
That was a hard corner to get right.

Yeah, it was a funny shape, Kembla, here's one from Liverpool, courtesy of Jim Shepherd's book " a History of Australian Speedway "

Looks like Langy's diamond broke in the same spot as Garry Moore's, the weakest point.
Great shot.

Ken Mapp on the left, looks to have put an extra bend in his leg

My dad knew Kenny Mapp very well and helped him as part of his pit crew. Unfortunately Ken was killed as a result of a crash, I think it would have been around 1970. It shook Dad up a lot, I remember him saying that Ken was taken to hospital and was sitting up and talking when he died suddenly from an undetected punctured lung. Dangerous business that speedway racing.
