Well Mr VMX has been run and won which leaves us with the final round of Heaven pointscore and the AGM to be held at The Lakes.

Yep the Heaven GP is an extra event for this meeting kindly supported by KJ222 a bit of a finale for the year ;D 2 x 15min + 1lap motos over the weekend Moto 1 Sat and........ you guest it Moto 2 Sunday ;D. Some very nice prizes on the line ;)
Pre78 class & Pre 85 class. Don't under estimate a 125 in these races.
Everyone is keen after Mr VMX for some proper MX racing :P :D so lets have a full grid

So Dan, after your comeback at Mr VMX from a 12mth no racing bludge, you're all practised up and keen for the extra 2 x 15 minute motos.
I knew you were tough.

Yeah Macca, I gotta make the most of the opportunities that I get to ride/race now, so the more track time the better. The young bloke is right into his soccer now so not sure how much track time I will get next year.
While the 10 min + 1 lap moto's at Mr VMX seemed long compared to what we are used to, it was good. The Lakes track won't be as hard on the body either ( or the bike) .

Yes guys after campaigning all year for longer races, when Greg mentioned the committee were thinking about running these races for this round I was stoked and thought it appropriate to put my money where my mouth is. The prizes we are sponsoring this race for are as follows:
For each class, Pre 85 and Pre 78.
1st Place in points: Team T-shirts for the winner of each class. 4 x Heaven T-shirts of your choice with your own custom Team Print on the back. Value: $160
2nd Place in points: 2 x Limited Edition Heaven GP T-shirts. Value: $50
3rd Place in points: 1 x Limited Edition Heaven GP T-shirt. Value: $25

Late News
The Lakes Club canteen will be operating over the weekend of the meeting
The canteen staff have indicated they are going to offer a baked dinner for $15 a head on Saturdayu evening for those camping or that want a meal before leaving the track. If you are intersted please email the club so that we have an idea of numbers

Ahhh as Ken said Dan... "It never ends.."
Yet another stator fried. :-\ Got 3/4 of a lap done at Mr. VMX. Didnt trouble the lap scorers at all... not even once!! >:(
All good now tho.. I even now have a spare that will be in my raceday spares kit... ::)
Thats great news Ken - it will be fun hangin' with the Steam Train again !! :P
...oh and my entry will be appearing over the weekend too Greg ... now that I actually have a bike running !! :)

The Heaven GP (2 x 15min +1) has really attracted some interest with entries now exceeding the 40 rider grid 8) Therefore there will now be two events so no one misses out 8)
Possibly called the :P
GP of the Hoary - Pre78 and older Pre85 riders
GP of the Apogee - Younger Pre85 riders

The big sprinklers were on last night, not to much of a drenching though. Overcast this morning. By start of play tomorrow conditions should be perfect for a great weekend of racing/ riding and refreshments.

Thanks for the photos Greg, the committee appreciate your help and that of Glenn's, Fernando, Greg H, Bill and others i probably have forgotten.
It is great how you guys volunteer your time to make sure the weekend goes smoothly.
Congratulations to the winners of each class. The final pointscore for the year will be available soon so you can check to see how you placed in your era and class.
Remember to complete the survey and send it back to the secretary as the committee will be meeting soon to discuss next years calendar, locations and dates.
A finally a big thanks to all the competitors and partners who assisted over the year. Each race meeting the same friendly faces volunteer to flag, scrutineer, lap score, 15 second and start each race.
So thanks for 2012 and look forward to 2013, about 19 weeks to go, before we drop the gate on a new year.
