GUys say frame stamp says TS 1974. so by going on the bits he must have been keeping it alive all these years with other bikes.

Any how any one want to make this guy an offer, or should i just let him slide ?  Pokey what do the weigh ;) ?

250 is a way different frame than the 185.  doubrt a 250 engine would fit in.

Would love it but its not worth more than say $100 or so and transport to gladstone would kill  it for me.

The forks are the same diameter as Rm80  (skinny)  just shorter legs.
engine in a 185 is 185 only some of the cogs will fit but different ratios and the clutch will do a TM125. The hubs are larger diameter than TM125 and weigh the same ... steel rims are heavy... triples are small and cast iron lower alloy top. seat is heavier and wont fit a TM.

Only useful for TM125 swaps but not much. Hmmm if you get stuck with the engine freaky  and i can get that up here  Id take that off ya as long as I can get it to go via Loz for a bit of a  fiddle ;D

I'll take the front wheel  ;D if it's available..I 'need' a pair of mudcatchers and that would be a start...lets buy it as a group thing and disect it..mind you $100-$150 all up is about it's worth as it sits.

the bloke rang me back with his story , i pointed out all its faults and said if he changes his mind i got $100 for him.  Rest is up to him.  I have an advert in a country scap yard and thats where this bloke got my number from off the board, so i figure unless he ebays it who is going to want it, he reckon he has moderns and he know bikes, but i just passed on what you guys said its a bitsa and its only a 185.  ill sit on my hands and if it shows up il let you guys pull it apart to cover the costs.

well he wanted $500 and i said $100. thats where i have left it, unless you can come up with a better number i can back to him with thats where this bike stands ATM ... limbo

Also he emailled me the pics, its in the country so until i go out there and look at it i know FUC all about it, he swears it has a fat spark, but like i said "he knows bikes" so what that flags to me is i need to see it first ill make that jugdement when i see it running  ::)

I sincereley hope he enjoys owning and riding his bike for many years to come.

Speaking of 30mm forks, I picked up a really nice pair of TM forks from the US the other week for a whopping $5.99! ;D I see them all the time get passed in for next to nothing so I thought bugger it, I want!!. Add $60 postage and I now have a pair of unmarked original forks that still have nice factory clear coating on the lowers that I would not get here for under a $100.

Brent before I head to CD5 could you do a list of the bits and names I'll be collecting from? I had the list but for the life of me I can't find it now and my emails have been cleared out :-\

Damn, if it's not already gone I could use the L/H crankcase cover and some clutch bits.  You're near Adelaide aren't you?
