You old pricks gotta park up the beige camiras and the plaid slacks and get with it  ;)

Mugens were never yellow anyway so it doesn't relate to anything. White or red is the go...

The eBay bike is based on Nobby Clarke's Mugen CR125 from the US as featured in VMX mag #26 2006. The guy has both a '74 and '79 done in the same red/yellow scheme and to me they both look the goods. Dare to be different ;)

Nobby Toledo is the guy with the Mugens..
It looks wrong to me, like painting an RM125 frame red and calling it a RA125 factory replica...

John, admittedly the word replica has been used quite loosely when maybe the word 'styled' would have been more accurate but anyone with any vintage knowledge should know what was meant.

It's not a badly built bike by any means simply a bike styled on Nobby's Mugen and a reflection of personal taste. It could be worse..it could have been orange and purple ;D

Thats one of the attractions of VMX , you find an old bike and rebuild it adding your own personal touch along the way. There are no rules only preferences, each to his own and not two many VMX bikes end up the same.I think Nobby's bikes are great and Macca did a great job following his theme , certainly sets them apart.
