Last known update on injured rider was that he has torn tendons/ligaments/cartilages(?)- cant remember the exact bits- in his heart, and was airlifted from Bendigo hospital to melbourne for emergency treatment. The club did a great job of geting the track rideable, as trying to ride Ravenswood between the months of October and May is about as much fun as a plane crash, its that slipery and hardens up that much. i know the guys went out for the days prior to the meeting pumping the water into it, but as fast as it was going on it was just gone..they returned on Saturday arvo/evening, and early Sunday to get more water into the track, but when there was the big delay while treating the injured rider meant that the likelihood of getting in a full day was only a remote one, and eventually they were losing the battle with the dust, running low on water so it was called early.

Frank sustained some nasty injuries from his get off although the full extent is unknown as he is currently under sedation in IC after an operation to repair a torn aeorta. Good news is he will recover but will have a bit of a stay in hospital. Thankfully he was wearing a chest protector which has certainly done its job.

Holly hell! Buy that man a lotto ticket.

I was there yesterday and why we were worried about him having down rib damage. At no point did it appear that bad ( from the pits that is).

Well done to all that helped treat him!!

Great stuff Arn. Your 250L sounds terrific and you are riding it very well. Does any Pre85 bike have a better engine than a YZ250L?
Cheers, Grahame

According to the Trail & Track shootout the 84 Honda has the sweetest motor with the YZ and KX not far behind. Apparently the RM was slow.
