I was wondering if any of you guys have any tips about how to bypass the stem routed water piping on an H or J series 125 or 250.
Any help is appreciated.

I've got a 125 h but I run the coolant through the head. I can't see any other way that wouldn't be bulky, reduce your steering range or be more problematic than the existing system. I'm sure with some fudging of some after market seals (original are exxy and rare) you can achieve a leak free system. :)

Go on Ross I know you bought the last 20 sets from Oz/US Yammie a couple of years ago don't keep em all to yourself ;)

I haven't been able to source seals and the ones on my steerer had perished so I don't really know what I am after. It seems quite common to bypass hence the question.
What do the seals actually look like?

I'm never telling you anything again.....
Sorry Rod. If you can hold off a week I can get some out, measure them and put some pics up for you. I just won't have access to them until then and no I don't have any for sale.
I can tell you that the lower one (the crucial one) looks very normal.
I'll put some pics up in a week.... :-\
Until then, have a look at the link below of my 125 h.

The bottom one is the hard part. I couldn't find one after a lot of searching and asking all the bearing shops I could find.
I have worked out an alternate system using generic size seals, but I don't know if it seals properly yet :-\
I had a new steering head turned up from 316 stainless. That was not cheap :o :o

Ooops. I got it the wrong way around. The top one is the easy one. :-[
For some reason the bottom ones I have look different to Tonys..... ???

The photos are of the set you sold me Ross :-\ :-\
It's all good mate ;D. I have my headstem back together and I have a pressure tester from work so I'm going to give it a go. What sort of pressure should I be testing to - does anyone know ??
-
20 psi or less as they have only a 16psi working pressure

Awesome thanks Matt. i will give it a go during next week.
