I'm not really interested in debating the pros and cons, just interested to know if any clubs out there are currently running longer (20 minutes +) motocross races.
Preferably with vintage classes, but moderns will do.
Thanks.

Sunshine Coast club run 15 min motos x 2 a day at their meetings for pre 90 bikes.

Closest with vintage that I know of is conondale classic which is an annual club event ran a pro race that was 20 mins ( first year this year). Same with mrvmx.
My local modern club ran two open races that were 20 min long as well for the 'real' racers.

Classic Scramble club in Vic have a 10 lap race at each meeting..

Like Brad said, QVMX ran 3x 20min moto's for the Pro Class this year at the Conondale Classic....if you get fit/fast enough you might be able to play with Deacon/Armstrong/King/Ballard and Co next year. ;D ;D

running longer
Ran an eight lapper at the 15th Anniversary, some kiwi rider won it by the name of Peter ;D
so in answer to your question, just the odd eight lapper.
MX country club does a 20min senior every odd event.
