Then probably more than you would like to spend.  As ever it is down to spec and condition.

How much is being asked?

Haven't found one yet just collecting info. I may do a pre 70 build and feel one of these might be go and I know were a nice roller is lurking.

I have an engine minus the cyl head & push rod's.
It was my fathers last project before he passed away in 86, he was in the process of fitting a Weslake 4V head off a Speedway engine, are they pre70 legal?
See how you go, as with most of us I have way too many projects and could be persuaded to part with it but I'm sure I'd eventually regret selling it.

B50 won't get you into pre 70. B50 came out in 71, what yo need is a B44.

Buy or Build a B50, B44, etc, for the dirt, you will love riding it so much, other bikes won`t get a mention, they are a great bike, costly at first, but worth it when finished.

Slakey you might need a rethink on your proposed pre 70 project.
The B50 is too new, the B44 is too expensive and slow unless you spend a shitload on it and there isn't such a thing as a pre 70 KTM. I reckon you'll need a DT1 or RT1. ::)

Not real hard to turn a B44 into a 500 but the hip pocket nerve may not enjoy the experience.

Slaker if you want to spend lots on a B44 for pre 70 Here are some more money pits to think about Velocette ,Matchless/ AJS or down the lines of the various ex speedway engines that have been VMXed     or just settle on a RT1mx Yammy ;)
