Try Ballards footpeg wideners and weld them on, work a treat.

The original footpegs are just too narrow.

Mick, Contact Peter at VMX racing in the states.

He does foot pegs and alike. 99.00 US + about 12 to 15 shipping.

Website is www.vmxracing.com

Contact is [email protected]

Not everthing he stocks is on the website so email is the best bet.

I have purchased from him many times and is always fast on service and delivery.

Because Les (VMX Unlimited) is Australian based I always try him first but he just can't stock everything.

If you are on a super tight budget.

Not sure if 84 and 88 are the same  :-\

Just fitted a set of current KTM pegs to a 91 CR250, pretty sure they would fit an 84 also.

Thanks guys, the 84 has a different set up to the later models. I have spoken to Les already
And he doesn't have any. I will try the other guy.

Im in the process of fitting KTM OEM pegs, they fit on but you need to grind down the pointy part of the original peg mount. It looks like i will have to grind a fair bit off otherwise they wont fold up, this worries me as i dont want to weaken the mount if its unsafe.
There is some guy named Robbo in Newcastle area that has done this mod but i cant contact him to be sure how he did it.If i do find out i will let u know.

well i got in contact with the guy that has done this mod and he is safe and well and out of hospital!
He asures me that this mod is all good, just grind away the pointy end of the mount till the peg folds up.

One solution is to do what Geoff Holmes did to the bike that Glen Bell rode at the Nats a few years ago ,he cut the stub for the footpegs off the frame and welded on a modern style bracket .You can use any number of modern pegs that way.
