I was thinking it didnt look like a 250 and I was right its a 190?

Marty Smith raced one of them for the Cagiva factory for a short stint in '83 before retiring.

Funnily enough, I was just reading the late-1985 ADB test on the one Chris Cater was racing in 1985.
Verdict was that it made far more sense as an enduro bike, because it was a 190 in the 200 class. In that context, it was peaky and over-suspended (which made me wonder whether it really made more sense to be an enduro bike). Apparently Cater loved his.

I owned one of these around 1989, went like a rat up a rope but was as peaky as a race ported 80. Also had a shit front brake . Sold it to a workmate for like $200 and was glad to see the back of it. That said looking at it now i think its a good looking bike and would love to have it in the shed.

Cozza, I reckon your first post is the perfect summary of what we love about old dirt bikes. ;D
I love how you said the old Cagiva was a bit of a piece of crap but how you'd love to have one in the shed today!
I think we all have bikes in our past that we remember the same way. :D
Welcome aboard. I reckon you'll fit in just fine............. ;)
