Title: YZ360B
Post by: firko on September 21, 2012, 10:52:46 am
It ain't cheap but it ain't common either. I doubt you'd find a YZ360b in ready to race condition much cheaper today. I'd love it.

It was great to see Chris Dixon puntin' around in the legends laps on his pristine 360B at  CD- 9 - in  original Macklin colours no less  ;)

I'd love it too. One of the coolest bikes out there.
One of the first motocross's i ever went to was the Trans Tasman on the Gold Coast in '74 and Trevor Flood dominated on a YZ360b, I've wanted one ever since!

that's very nice - makes me happy about mine.  This is also a very early YZB.

Why do you say early Ross ? the A forks ?

nice nic bike though, but when he says OEM wheels i think he forgot about the new Excel rims hes fitted.

actually wouldnt mind the 2 guards on that box either......... so he must have more stuff hidden away.

i got a couple of 484 frames here ready for the next project.  i can come play with you Ross  in mono luxury then at 2013 titles :O)

Question without notice: What would a set of genuine YZ-A forks in A-1 condition be worth?

It looks stock to me Mikey, the YZ-B pipe always reminded me of a python that has swallowed a chook. ;D

yep - looks like a standard pipe - most aftermarket (not that there are many around) go the works route down the right hand side and dont cross the motor.  Freaky - on the rear swingarm this has the original vertical stay - on the later Bs this was remvoed as uneccessary by Yamaha.

Absolutely Mick, as were all 34mm Yamaha forks. In reality the YZ-A forks were little different to the plain old DT or MX forks, the trick thing being the machined down sliders. As I wrote elsewhere, I spent a bit of time and money fitting Race-Tech Gold Valves, heavy duty springs and Goki Air Caps to my MX250 forks and they're a shitload better than the stock YZ items. I figured that someone might need the YZ-A forks for a loungeroom resto.
