Post by: jimg1au on August 26, 2012, 08:23:59 am
need to make some side cover no plates for my cr250 champion would like to make a area to seal off most off the side to give the ail cleaner nice dirt free air(thats the plan anyway)

Go find some roadworks and grab yourself a couple of "witches hats" ;); very plyable and tough , can be cut to shape. I've also seen "wheelie bins" cut and shaped.

I got myself a white 1000L pod that everybody has around the country side and cut number plates out of it.
Looks trick with the white opaque  look, and you can heat with a hot air gun and bend it.
Hope this helps and you can pick them up cheap if not free. ;D

I may be able to get the fiberglass mould of our Champions seat/sidecover unit if it was not lost in the Black saturday fires. Will investigate for you. Tim754
