Okay, who had the pleasure of a mini bike as a kid?

After shares in a Bantam and then having two successive scooters, my first road legal bike was a brand new TS50K Suzuki I bought when aged 15. I had my full licence on my 16th birthday and rode that thing everywhere. Although not strictly a mini bike, as it had 17" rims front and back and a 5 speed gearbox....just like the TS range, but shrunk a little. The reason I have a '76 TC125 to get about on now is pure fun factor. I have a TM75 and an MX100 carcass here that I hope to bring to fruition one decade.... ::)

Cheers,
Chris.

I had a yellow sl70 just like the one in the picture.  I also had/still have that book that I carried around with me like a bible when I was a kid.  I even wrapped it in that clear plastic you got for covering your school books.  In fact I think I covered all my Dirt Bike magazines instead of my school books.

I'm tippin' you'd rather have the SL70 now than have the book!!

I bought mine at a second hand store when I came to Melbourne in 1978 for about 75c I think, I had to endure 180 minutes a day on the train, so it is a well worn book...that's why I have decided to scan it bit by bit before it becomes useless. They fetch over $100 on ebay!!

Cheers,
Chris.
