Title: RM250 1983 WRECKING
Post by: Canam370 on August 14, 2012, 02:42:11 pm
Engine still rolls over smoothly. Looks like a NEW resleeve - clean as bore and piston looking up the exhaust port;the previous owner said he'd had it rebuilt but a younger sibling was prone to rat parts to keep other bikes running and left it in this sorry state. I don't think its even been run. Has spark! Clutch cover has been off awhile so theres some surface rust on the gears. Chook poo no charge.

Would this have 43mm forks?
If it has and if you're willing to sell parts separately, I might be interested in the front end.
I'd need you to take a couple of measurements for me though...........  ;)

Hey mate that's a 1983 rm with it looks like rh 250 (the mid eighties trail bike) front forks. The reason I know is because I own both the 1983 and 1985 models (and not a Neville know it all).

Well Neville :D you are indeed correct. Doh! Your eyes are better than mine if you could pick the details from the crappy pics. It is an '83 (checked the chassis # with Suzuki) and there is a speedo drive at the wheel - well done. Now, how do I amend the post heading or must I delete and start again?
