Title: Clutch arm extender
Post by: tony27 on August 11, 2012, 06:04:53 am
Does anyone make a extender for the clutch arm on YZ465s like Jastco did when John was alive, tried a set of magura levers on mine & couldn't believe how heavy it felt
If I cant buy 1 anywhere can anyone who has 1 do some measuring for me & I'll make 1 up

i recently saw one on a 490 and spoke to the bloke about it, he said he'd bought it from Ballards. It was so light it almost felt hydraulic!!

Tony If got one you can have for $40 brand new. Or would one of the machinist out there like to buy it and start making them for the IT/YZ boys. Curly

I am a machinist curly or more precisely a toolmaker, could be worth making a few up from a pattern

Had a thingy on my 490K years ago as it arrived from usa & was up at the top end reducing the leverage. Didn't like it & sold [it i think]. Was easy to pull but needed twice the movement for desired amount of lift. Just made up a good quality cable--well lubed etc & she's good in std trim.
