Title: 86 YZ250 Fork Oil

Does anybody know how much and what grade of fork oil for a 86 YZ 250....it's for a fa fa fa fast rider (obviously not me)....cheers in advance.

I'd try 15wt 160mm from the top of the tube with springs out and forks collapsed.

You might need to consider spring rate first, oil height really only has an effect on the last few inches of travel.

564cc of 15wt, 160mm from top is std.
190mm from top min oil,
140 from top maximum oil.

Just realised I have a YZ250S workshop manual here.  I'll drop it over tomorrow if u want...

4.5 springs 15 weight 130mm from top ;)
