Title: UNITED ron100 fuel
Post by: Sorelegs11 on July 22, 2012, 12:06:49 pm
Has anybody had any issues with United 100 petrol?
Saw an item on MA site and got hold of some, mixed at 30-1 semi syn oil and 5 laps of DT the yz400d nipped up  >:(.
A strip down discovered a peice missing from the top of the piston at the exhaust and seiure marksp at piston sides.
I have since heard a few negative comments but some good ones. ???
Or is it not compatable with 2 stroke oil?

I wonder if the oil separated from the fuel. Some oils seem to & others don't. Try mixing and then leave it sitting for a while. Should soon see. If it is a problem, try adding about 3 percent acetone. Sorts it out. Cheers, Tim

Did you re jet,
united 100 has 10% ethanol in it ,
ethanol a bit like Methanol requires more fuel to air ratio?

Cheers

Works a treat, makes more HP than ost race fuels when you tune for it.

So you have to jet up for it? 10%? 20%? Haven't tried it yet but would like to.

I went up from 360 to 400 main, but did not touch intermediate.
2 stroke or 4 stroke Lozza?
You are right Mick, I think I will stick to the cheap stuff  ;D

Run it in my car even and only deal with 2T bikes and karts(and chainsaws)
