Sitting around a camp fire at the Heaven event last weekend the topic of Simons Forks came up. Some were pronouncing Simons as it is in Simon Says and some were pronouncing it as it is pronounced in Simmons Plains. I always thought it was the version as pronounced in Simon Says. Anyone know?
-
Thats a good one ken ,
I have always said simon says use simons forks ;D
but I was always not 100% sure if its said simon or simmons ???
-
Simon's is Simon's & Simon's would be Simmons.
Remember the old sports stores of Mick Simmons?
-
I reckon 'Simon says'
Maybe one of US cousins might know better?

Er-lins.
Do it with a humorless northern european accent and everything else sounds wrong...
PS: Simons, just like it is spelt.

I have noticed that a lot of city folk pronounce tour as tooer but then they agree with us country bumkins that the word pour should not be pronounced pooer.
