Title: exhaust stinger.how long?

i extended the stinger on my standard pipe 77 rm125b by 75mm and it made a big midrange improvement. i want to try longer but have read that it could cause over heating. anyone have an idea? thanks.

Was it the same diameter, stingers are much more sensitive to stinger diameter than length. As a general rule longer boosts top end, but........................................ ;D

yeh your right. the new 75mm of stinger i slid over the standard bit of stinger. so it is bigger diameter. and thinking more about it the power improved mid and up. but never lost any bottom at all.
