Title: What Black for 1979 KDX400A1 bits?

Hi Guys,

What of the various blacks (matt, semi-gloss, gloss) did Kawasaki use for their various parts for the KDX400A1?

Engine -              Semi-Gloss?
Exhaust -            Matt or Semi-Gloss?
Lower fork legs -  Semi-Gloss?
Frame -              Gloss?
Hubs -                Semi-Gloss or Gloss?

About to respray most of the bits and pieces on my KDX, and I want it to be as original as possible.

The colour scheme on my 81 KLX250 is pretty much the same as your KDX.
I used -
Engine -              Powder coated in Satin Black
Exhaust -            Satin Black
Lower fork legs -  Originals on mine were laquered alloy. Now they are just polished.
Frame -              Gloss Black (powder coat)
Hubs -                Satin black powder coat or Satin black PJ1 and baked in the oven (when the wife is out).
