Tell me about cheap! I had a snipe on and off 3 times that one before deciding against it........Grrrrr I hate being mature and responsible - they are only dear when I want 'em badly. :(

Same here.....I thought about it but like you common sense overtook passion. I had an almost identical '79 400 back in the early 90's which I loved so I thought I'd relive the glory. Unfortunately I don't have any spare shed space until I sell off some stuff later in the year. That bike's right up there as one of the bargains of the year so far. :o

A lot of beautiful machine for the money all right, I imagine it would have some sting in it with that rotary disc induction too.

Time to use logic to console your self's boys; The cost and hassle of shipping. The winning bidder probably had a missive max bid on it anyhow. Probably just another project, because it may have undisclosed issues and needs. And of course as firko has mentioned the space issue, etc.
