Title: VVMXC (VIPER) Round 2.
Post by: bigk on July 02, 2012, 09:41:12 am
VVMXC (VIPER) round 2. July 8th at historic Ravenswood Park. After riding the track yesterday this meeting should be horn. The track will be slightly adjusted to accomodate VMX bikes and is fast & flowing as in the "old days". For anyone who hasn't been to Ravo, it is mostly nice grippy granite sand with constant elevation changes and a long fast main straight. Sign in @ 8:30 am. Be there! Any questions contact me @ [email protected]
Cheers,
K

You should come out to ride, not watch John! Always look forward to Ravo as it was one of the first tracks I went to spectate as a kid.Great "old school track".

The RM is not quite ready to race or I would have ridden, I'll watch & learn to see how it all operates.

I remember my first time there in 75 I think, I was on my TM125 in sub-juniors, I remember a warm-up loop in the pits, more bikes running around that than the track LOL.

Also the doorless dunnies facing out into the paddocks next door, what a classic!

First time I ever got prize money was there in 81 on my CR450.  $20 I think for 3rd in C grade allpowers.

The place has memories for me, I will ride there at the next event.

75 pre-entries to date so looking good. The weather's looking perfect. Gates open Saturday arvo, camping no problems. Toilets but not showers. Common sense applies to fires/rubbish etc.
Cheers,
