Would you like a complete engine for Princess to play with so you only have to swap engines when you are done 8)

The way momentum is building in the under 250cc fourstroke class, we will soon have to split the grids! Great to see but we still need some more big bore 4 bangers as well. Shattered that Neil is selling his! Hopefully someone within the club or a newbie will buy it and keep it on the start line.
Hope to see princess at the CRC Rick. Couple of spare charged batteries and all good to go.

OK muffler on the way
next question,
Does anyone know where to get a seat foam for this model.
Can find '84 and later but not XR200R B-C-D shape. Can also find covers OK
Any ideas?
-
I got a brand new repro header from the local bike shop for $120. made in NZ .musket brand I think.
the seat is sacked out so interested to see what turns up on this .

Thanks cyclegod that is the corrcet shape, an '83 but '81-'83 all the same seat just the cover varies. That one doesn't look in great shape either and the seller will not ship to Oz.
'84 and later repo foams are available but '81-'83 is not available. Anyone know someone in NSW (preferrably Hunter Valley) who can make a new seat foam
-
buggered if i can remember the name but i got some great seat covers for mid 80's Mxer's from a place in NZ, very good quality and great price and large range. someone would know. the guys name was Alex.
-
Thanks Hoony the seat cover is not a problem I need a seat foam as the original has ben repaired previously and is falling to bits.

I've purchased from him too Hoony. Big range of stuff and really good quality. I tried recently to contact him but my saved link didn't work :-[

he makes and supplies some good stuff.
Canam, I saw your BMW side covers at Matcho's last Thursday, they look great.

I have an idea that the XL185 seat foam would be pretty close/identical in shape

The xr uses a plastic base and the xl a steel base, I think ::)
Might be the same shape, or at least the same shape foam but?
Pretty certain I have an 81 185 here somewhere, but the seat was toast, me thinks. ummmm, time for a trip and a dig into the bad lands hey, ummm.

Thats the fella Mick. The stuff listed is nowhere near the range he does. I got a CB500/4 cover awhile ago - heat embossed and printed too, a great match to the original.
I got my covers yesterday - excellent as always! ;D

Choices
1; two occar straps and a pillow. Good idea to put the pillow in a plastic bag first.
2; As I said, ummmm I think I indicated it was rough ;D xl185

Hey Greg,
Give Mario at Topline Upholstery a call he can rebuild your original base with a new foam.
Does excellent work, would highly recommend.

Another plug for Mario.
He does all my seats and my mates as well. Takes great care in restoring them to original. He also modifies ours when needed.
I just recently had him modify one of my RM250X seats by building up the foam at the front of the seat and make a new cover. It has changed the feel and egos of the bike that much I might bring it back out of retirement. Wished I'd now got it done when I was racing it a couple of years ago.
He is the seat guru ;D
