Title: good dirt tracker on vft.org
Post by: firko on June 17, 2012, 12:12:52 pm
Here's a nice pre '75 flat tracker project with a lot of spares. These rotary valve engines hoot on the dirt track so this would be very competitive by our rules. Located in California for cheap shipping.

Bingo!
I've been searching for an answer as to who actually built the frame in my DT1 tracker. The above Kwaka Cycle Factory item looks the closest so far. Compare it with mine below......Ironically, when I put the pictures of my bike up on vft.org asking if anyone knew its parentage, a couple of Yanks suggested it might be a Cycle Factory frame.

Firko,

A buddy of mine knows the guy who built the Cycle Factory frames.  The builder is here in Northern Cali.  Here's a pic of my buddy's Cycle Factory framed B50.

There was an XL350 Cycle Factory bike that sold on Mark's Swapmeet last year and I'm pretty sure they built TM400 frames also.

Jay, could you ask your buddy for the Cycle Factory guy's contact details please mate?
I think I'm getting closer to solving my little riddle ;D I bought my bike from a guy in Sacremento but I believe it came from the Bay Area prior to that so the clues are falling into place 8)

That B50 is a gem. I'd own it in a cosmic milisecond.

BUMP!       Jay........Did you ever get a chance to ask your friend for the details of the Cycle Factory guy? I'd really love to have some info on my little bike and I'm sure Piney, who's purchased the Kawaski shown would be happy to know some background on his bike. Would the guys name happen to be Dave Lewis by chance?
