Maxima Racing Oils Conondale Classic 2012 ! August 4th & 5th
The Maxima Racing Oils Conondale Classic is shaping up to be one of the biggest classic events, with its previous history of being a great event at an exceptional venue run by the Queensland Vintage Motocross Club.
This year we are pleased to announce we are including a Pro-class with many well known riders of the day including Shane King, Geoff Ballard, Dave Armstrong, Andrew Bailey and more.
Also a number of Works Bikes will be on display.
Supp Regs now available on www.qvmx.com.au
Camping, hot showers available. Also food on Saturday and Sunday.
Should be huuuuuuuuuuuuge!

Sounds good Pete, lm hoping to be able to get 12- 15 Sidecars out for this event, like Robo says its at l think the best track in country and run by an exceptional club, cant wait......... ;D

Yea, it is a awesome list Popeye, and the list of guys I spoke to that cant make it this year but can next will blow you away....gotta keep moving forward. We will have a special guest appearance with ELVIS on the microphone and a DJ Saturday night.

Please enter asap if you want your name in the program and it will make the girls job alot easier at sign on.
Also bring your old 70s and 80s clothes for the disco on Sat night will be a hoot. ;D

Ross don't take Joan seriously ::) its his nature to hang shit on everybody ( its a side effect of having a small appendige ;)) and the filter between brain and mouth was removed years ago to improve air flow ;D
Ill live to regret this but joans a good bastard ;D and anyone travelling up for the event or any other in Joans backyard can expect nothing but great hospitality .
If you have never Ridden Connondale it truly is a great venue ;D
If anyones thinking about making the trip you wony regret it :)

It is nearly tempting to go all the way up there just to stuff you over a berm but no doubt you'll be working that day or trying to work out how to get a valve cap off your bike or you're simply so overwhelmed with emotion talking about how wonderfully your life is (whilst boring the shit outa the rest of us with it all) that you simply can't make it and that'd be a wasted three thousand km drive.
No. I'll simply wait for the Nats to enjoy that little moment. ;) (that is of course if you can get past the scuttineers....)

Ross .. I'm genuinely concerned for your mental state. How can your thoughts be so full of hatred and vile?? Sounds like you really do need to get some professonal help and quick. I suspect your mates down your way have already done this for you but if not, I looked these up .. hope they help:

Not sure what your fascination with my life is but yes, scrutineering issues included, my life is wonderful so thanks. I am grateful for what I have .... maybe you could look up gratitude and practice it. Would make you a much nicer person and would help you channel your energies into being positive and nice. Imagine what you could achieve with a positive outlook Ross.

Despite offers of fuel money we have no takers from the southern sidecar teams.
Still we will have one of the best sidecar fields in over 20 years with something like 15. :o :o

All crap aside Ross, its a great event and we'ed love to have you, as Bill says if you havent riden at Conondale your missing out. We have quite a few riders that turn up (and spectators) that dont ride any other event. Every rider will get a show bag this year and you'll get to see the Dutchie doing the moon walk at the Saturday night disco....has to be worth the price of admission....in fact if you come I'll wave the entry fee's....cant be any fairer than that.

The trolley's wont do 20 min's...thank god.....Jamie would have to stop for a smoke, popeye will have to change an ign, Lisa would have lost her voice from sqealing (its like riding the big roller coaster at movie world ;D)......TMBill will have to refuel with some kick-arse (monster).... Vaughn would have to do an exhaust job..... ;D

Good entries, up around 140 at the moment so its going to be a huge meeting, Pro Class is strong and will be awesome to watch, lots of trollies, weather's looking great, if you cant ride, come and watch. There is going to be some good trade stalls to spend your money on and plenty of eye candy. Bring your platforms and bell bottoms for the disco.....see you there.

Kingy came and picked up his CR500 today with Smarty....weathers looking great....27 in the Pro class (half on 500's) and most other classes have between 20 to 35 riders in them...this is going to be one hell of a meeting with some very exciting racing and some even more exciting news to come soon after....VMX racing in Australia is about to grow up...if you cant race then do yourself a favor and come and watch....all gate takings to charity..$2 per person or $10 a car load. As Big Kev use to say "I'm excited"!!!!....where do you get to see a former world champion and a gazillion Aussie/state title holders race VMX?...CONONDALE CLASSIC...thats where...be there or be sqare....DC.

But what a great weekend of racing and socialising. Brilliant weather, great track, great turn out all made for a cracker of an event. Congratulations to all that organised and attended. Awesome.

Also thanks to Sunshine Coast club, with the skills of Noel and Peter, the running of these events is made to look easy, also the club for making the venue available to allow this event to continue.
Now to the 2 mexicans that came and raced, well done guys, it was a previlage to annoy you both and watch you race agaisnt the best and win. geeeeeeeez thats hard to say! bloody victorians ;D

Absolutely brilliant event. Perfect weather during the day and bloody freezing at night. Massive thumbs up to QVMX team and SCMC for a fantastic race program, great track and excellent vibe all weekend. As someone once said.....I'll be back ;D

Il be back as well. Had the best time up there although i didnt get much
sleep on the sat nite because of the loser camping beside us playing his music until
2.00 in the morning and then the next day he leans his bike up on the bonnett
of my car to lube his chain and leaves a massive big scratch. WTF >:(

Had a great weekend, be it very stressful at times, The QVMX commitee did a great job.
Shame about the dust. I can't believe we went from hoping it would stop raining so the event could be run to struggling with a pump that would not play the game.
Oh well, Had some fun races. Good times.

Well, now I'm off my deathbed (got the worst case of flu after the event....spent the last 3 days on my back sweating and shaking), the event went off like a bomb, to see the Pro class guys doing there thing for 20 mins at a time was awesome....500 2 strokes rule!!...Simon Healy from Vic rode like a man posessed in the first race to win with James Deacon winning the last 2 moto's, a few guys had bike troubles (King running out off rear brakes after a couple of laps each time but got 2nd in the last moto and Ballard with normal Maico breako issues). All the guys rode fast and it was a pleasure to watch. All the races had big grids and there where no gimmies as the pro riders filtered through into some of these races aswell. Kingy rode 090's 77 Breako aswell and had a ball....he'll be back next year with his brothers and a few other fast Kiwi's so we have the makings of a Trans Tasman VMX cup in the pipeline...cant wait, we should see Gally and Leisky there aswell so I'll be chasing up a few more people for next year. This is an event you need to put on your calender and be part of...all weekend I saw smiles and lots of happy people and with the way the economy is it was a great to see so many people having fun and forgetting about the doom and gloom of everyday life. I had lots of people come up to me and say what a great event and that makes me feel good....that we put on a show for everyone. I'd like to thank all the sponsors and people involved in the event, it was a lot of hard work but worth every minute of it. See you there next year. 8)
