I need some decent shocks for the rear and then it is testing time.

That is grouse!!! I wanted to build a 250B but the 125 came along. What sort of shocks you going to get? I'll need shocks too, I can't justify blowing big money on real good units; I may have to give a set of elcheapo Progressive shocks a go until I can scrape up the cash for some good ones.

Well done, its a credit to you 8)
-
very nice i love the b model
-
looking good there ole mate - "Works Shocks" are quite cheap at the moment .
-
yes shocks are an issue John, I could spend a fortune on them but it still wont make any difference to where i finish...at the back of the field. some research needs to be done as to what will represent good value for money.

Looks great Nipper. How does it go? Has to one of the best pre-78 motors around.
Spend what you can on shocks. If it doesn't improve your track position there is always your back to consider.

Out of interest, how (& where) did you procure the Pro-Form pipe/muffler combination.

You can buy Proform pipes and mufflers from Les Richter at VMX Unlimited. Website here: http://www.vmxunlimited.com/

be interesting to see how it goes with the pipe
very large you could fit the dimensions of standard
complete pipe in header :D

Can thoroughly recomend a Geoff Morris pipe :)

Fitted straight on and the bike runs better across the range :)

nice bike well done !!!!
like to see yur a fan of the green as well
i notice in the back ground yu'v got an RM with yellow fork bottoms. was wondering whate model that is as i have a set under my house and i'm not familia with yellow flavoured bikes
cheers piney

Hi thanks for that :) yes i like my green too and even a little bit of red in the shed ;D That is a n RM125B fitted with aftermaket yellow fork skins . The 1983 RM D range came with the fork legs painted yellow from factory . They also have a lug with a hole in it, cast into the brake side fork leg to support the outer front brake cable , as the bottom 600mm of inner cable runs exposed .

Top looking B nipper :)one of my faves as it was the first 250 and the first new bike I had back in the 70s

Thanks for the feedback with the bike.I havent ridden it yet ,only run it in the shed and it sounds great. Hey Bahnzy Simo hit the nail right on the head the pipe and muffler comes from Les Richters at VMX unlimited, realyy impressed with his service for all the parts I have purchased from him. The shocks I will spend as much as I can afford "works" seem like a good reliable brand ,but I will also contact Walter as he is not too far from where I live see what he has available too. TM Bill that is a real sweet looking pipe some great work has gone into the manufacture of that baby !
And where did you get the stickers for the TM 125 suzuki ? I reckon that "works " look is fantastic. I want to tart up my TM 125 and a new set of stickers would be just the ticket.
-
Hey thanks Nobby, I am not sure the 250B is as good as the work you have produced recently, but stand a few paces back and with the right light....
-
RM looks Sweet Nipper. Congrats.
I love the 77' - 80' Twin Shock Suzy's. 8)
-
Cheers GT, I really enjoyed the rebuilding of this bike. Cant wait to get my next project into full swing , it is a 1977 RM 125
-
Hi Nipper i am running Gazi hypers on me RM125B and RM250B and are great value for money but better still they work like a charm :D so with out hesitation its Gazi all round for the pre 68 chair ;)
-
Cheers Shelpi, It is good to hear from riders who have used different shocks and what works well for them. This helps to make an informed decision. By the way how is the latest project going?
-
Thanks for asking Nipper, the pre 68 side car is pretty much a rolling chassis, just ordered the shocks (GAZI) of coarse, Scotty is a wizard actually my new nic name for him is Merlin, the magic he has done on the found outside rusting wreck is amazing, just waiting for engine parts from the US, Paul Miller vintagesuzuki, getting into the chambers thanks Freaky for the specs, so 95% done and 95% to go. :o
