Wondering if there is much interest out there in holding some sidecar schools to teach some newbies the art of sidecars & current riders/swingers could brush up on some things aswell?
-

-
who is the instructor ??? ??? ???
-

I spoke to Hansi when I came back in 1988 and he was very keen then. He speaks very good English and as Wasp said, he puts on a good school with alot in it. However, back then I couldn't gey any interest and was even told by one of the dads that "he couldn't teach my boy anything" I bet his boy's still learning......
I will contact him again and see when it might happen and where.
We have talked about it on occasion but have never put one together up here in Qld-we should do one at the beginning of each season.
More discussion reqd.
-
If you come to Qld Wally you should put one on.
-
There are plenty better than me to show the new guys but I would like to have some input, mostly about fitness and conditioning.
We could put something on before Conondale.
-
ok we will do the fitness but we will have to have beer and steak and chips afterwards ( all in flavour say more beer ) :) :) :)
-
With all the racing we'll be doing at the nats we'll have to book a spare minute somewhere to fit it in ::) ::)
-
Still only five entries fo the Nats

What do you want to do yungy swing or drive?
-

-
I prefer to ride but don't mind swinging either
-
are riding at the nationals?
-
So after 50 yrs of sidecars you have nothing to teach anyone Wally-what's your story ?
I'm sure you could give some pointers on what to buy and sell at least :D :D
-
Well they have asked.
-
There will be a full class. We have an all girl team being Lisa and Helen filling the gap, riding the Honda four Wasp. Entry on the way. If there is an informative session, count me in. If I can learn one thing from EML or Wasp it is worth it. But being a rider and passenger since 1981, I may have some input also. ;)

779 is probably one of the best and easiest going I've ever come across as far as passengering goes and is right there with Wayne Halloway-Qlds best since Mal McNaught from the old days, but then again I haven't seen either of them on a trials outfit :o :o
-
I gunk it is time to start getting this organized
-
We are aiming for early next year-after it cools a bit-late Feb.
We will have an opening/come and try day and will be giving all comers drives and/or swings as they ask for it.
Their will be both capable drivers and passengers on board to teach skills and slow and fast laps as reqd.
Most likely to be at Harrisville and will finish with drinks and BBQ afterwards. Poss even Sat and Sun with camp over.
Stay tuned-and get that CR500 ready.
