Title: Question for Sydney-ites of old
Post by: EML on May 14, 2012, 04:25:40 pm
Who or what is/was Fishers Ghost from Campbelltown??
Sounds like something Firko could/should know or someone else from that side of the island.

Frederick Fisher disappeared in the early 1800's and his Ghost lives in the creek.
He was the first person in NSW to attempt to make paper.
There's a lot more to it than that if you google it.

I have an E Type in the workshop at the mo and it has an original sticker on the side screen of Fishers Ghost-Campbelltown. I just wondered if it was some old-school rod shop or the like. It looks sort of like a moon-eyes type of thing, very 60s like.

Well there you go, a car like that shouldn't be kept in the Redneck Capitol of OZ, I know an alltime DT legend who owned one way back then and lived in the Campbelltown area.
Any more identifying features?
P.S. He now lives in Qld.
