Hi all,  what type of oil goes in a 1983 CR 500 ITC shocks.   HL

Thanks for that wasp,  but I'am trying give the rear shocks a bit more dampening I thought if I went to a thicker oil I will get more dampening ?

Thicker oil will heat up and fade faster than thin oil, you'd be better off revalving to change dampening. Do you want more compression and rebound dampening?

The rebound stack needs to be changed either by going to some thicker shims and/or more shims

I have ohlins shims and a specs for the ITC shock.  It is a CR not a WR?

Have the shocks been apart?  Maybe the shims on the piston have been put in wrong.
