Hi all, what type of oil goes in a 1983 CR 500 ITC shocks. HL
-
Thanks for that wasp, but I'am trying give the rear shocks a bit more dampening I thought if I went to a thicker oil I will get more dampening ?
HL

Thicker oil will heat up and fade faster than thin oil, you'd be better off revalving to change dampening. Do you want more compression and rebound dampening?
-
Thanks JohnnyO, I'am after more rebound Dampening but not to sure where to start. HL
-
The rebound stack needs to be changed either by going to some thicker shims and/or more shims
-
Sounds good but where do I get the shims from ??? HL
-
Steve Cramer products.. the Ohlins importer
-
I have ohlins shims and a specs for the ITC shock. It is a CR not a WR?
Have the shocks been apart? Maybe the shims on the piston have been put in wrong.
Cheers
