Title: 1980 Maico MC440 IGNITION

Hi all, i am chasing a Motoplat or similar ignition system to suit my Maico. If anybody has something suitable or knowledge on where to get hold of something i'd love to hear from them. Would love to get her in action for Broadford HBBB this coming weekend, also after some side covers too but i won't hold my breath too long waiting for those i think!!  ::)

That'd be awesome mate, are the side covers 80mdl shape and style or just generic fit?? $50 the pair or ea?? Cheers, Brendan

Yup they'll do :) thanks heaps pal, pm me your number and I'll catch up with ya on fri or sat at hbbb. Hmmm........ Now just need to get hold of some gear to get a spark out of her and she just "Maigo" to broadford!! :)

youll be lucky to get something this week...
but check out HP ignition in Belguim.  Takes about a week . Just got an ignition from them. 9 days.
they have a internal rotor, external flywheel + flywheel & lights option for the 440/490. all under $E200

You could try Les at VMV Unlimited he may have a PVL in stock, '78-'82 is the same. Otherwise there are always ignitions on Ebay US and UK.
I think you've left your run a little late for HBBB..
