Hey Guy's, if anyone is interested, my new surgeon is pretty good and does not charge over the Medicare paid fee. I have Medibank 'top hospital' with $250 excess, means I only pay $250 once per year, doesn't matter how many times or how long I am in hospital for.
There is no waiting time to get into hospital and I only have to pay the 'gap' for the anesthetist.
With the shoulder repair I just had yesterday, I got in within one week and it only cost me $340, the next op this year will be $250 cheaper.
