Title: Lowlife Scumbags Steal local bikes.
Post by: Viper666 on February 27, 2012, 02:09:11 pm
I know there is a dedicate thread for this but here it will get noticed quicker.

These dirty scum of the earth have been at it again. Last week in Miners Rest a 2008 Kawasaki KLX 450 rego 96223 engine # lx450ae000845 & a 2009 Honda CRF 80 engine #heoie-6806898 were stolen from a shed WHILE the owners were inside their house. They came well prepared, took a panel off the side of the locked shed, cut the chains with bolt cutters & disappeared. If one good thing can be salvaged from this is that the left behind a mini bike. The thing that worries me is by the sound of things they had inside knowledge. In other words they have been in the shed! A mate, friend of a mate or family etc. This is the act of the lowest kind of scum. Any info ring Jason Francis 0427504376 or local cops 03 53366000.

The days of leaving your bikes laying about are long gone. Even when I'm about the bikes are bolted to the floor. If I'm not in the shed then the alarm is on and if I'm not home then the alarm is monitored to a respond security company. Alarms are like mine-fields. Useless unless someone's watching them.
I even put an alarmed disc lock on the bike if I walk away from it on the wash bay. ;)
