Title: Buyer beware!
Post by: mx250 on March 20, 2008, 09:23:40 am
I took an interest in this little beast on Ebay the other day. Figured it was rare, funky and pretty unique.

Having a dud gearbox I reckon at $250 it would be good value. At $500 it was getting a bit ex'y. The starting price was $750  ::).

But it was advertised as a 175cc. Not been a Sachsologist  ;D  I wasn't certain but I was  thinking '175cc Sach of the period is pretty rare, it might be worth it'.

To confirm I emailed the seller about 2 days before end of auction and asked them to confirm that it was a 175cc.  About an hour before close I got "Hi - it is a 125 - our mistake. Ebay wouldn't allow a change in descriiption at the moment."

It went for $965  :o. I hope the buyer wanted a Sachs and not just a 175cc Sachs.
