Title: Can-am 250 MX5 1979
Post by: Canam370 on February 11, 2012, 08:32:52 pm
Up for offer to the forum before it hits ebay. Genuine MX5 250, 1979. This is a rare event - something leaving the shed! I'm not aware of any other examples of this model around (although I'd love to be proven wrong!) The bike has new tyres, fork seals (good chrome),remote res Konis, genuine Thor swingarm (not one off a MX6B). Good kickstart and shaft. This bike is not a resto but I have gone over it to ensure everything is basically as it should be and given it a spruce up. It wouldn't take much to make it a showpiece. I fired it up after its 2 year sleep in the shed - it took 3 kicks and sounds crisp. Clutch is stuck from sitting. DC front guard and sidecovers. Original Magura controls. To my eye the bike seems to be low hour. The brake drums etc have little wear and a lot of the original plating survives.
Break away from the herd and ride something different this season . PM me if you are interested or have questions. $4000.
