Title: Making things look like they're sand cast - how to?
Post by: Nathan S on March 19, 2008, 10:44:14 pm
If I had a die-cast aluminium component, and wanted to make it look like it was rough sandcast, what would I do?

I've been wondering about either crinkle finish paint or maybe some form of heavy sand blasting?

Obviously I'm not expecting it to be indistunguishable from a true sand cast item, but the closer the better. Item will be painted (black), FWIW.
