Hi,
does anybody know if the needle bearings of the swingarm of the kawasaki KLX 250 1980-81 (size 20x27x25mm) are the same like
needle bearings in any KX from 1978-xxx ????
the original spare part number of kawasaki ist 92046-1001 !!
Thanks for your answering.
Regards from Germany.

HI Muecke,
Yes the bearings in the KLX are the same as the 78/79 KX125/250. They are very hard to find, so if you locate some I suggest you grab them [and if you find an extra set I will happily buy them from you].
They do come up on eBay occasionally. Ken Smith just found a set in the US and it brought a big smile to his face.
I have been doing a bit of work on my 84 RM125 resto and it seems that the bearings are the same size as the Kawasaki. Pivot Works lists a kit for the RM but not the KX [or KLX]. I will be ordering a set in a few days and will let you know what I find [but I am hoping the bearings will be suitable].
Thanks

hi,
I have some problems to put the swingarm and the needle bearings together again, after replacing the needlebearings.
I only have a bad copy of the service book. There I cannot find out how the needles, the oil rings and the sleeves should be.
I have the problem that the swingarm does not match in the frame because it is too wide.
Can anybody post a foto or give me some details of the service book in good quality?
Thanks a lot
Bye
Sven
