Title: legibility question

legibility question
I'm working on a bit of long term project but I would like to use an CRF 230 motor and maybe even the electric leg. Being as the motor is air cooled and in a twin shock frame.
I know I can use an XR 200 motor but I like the idea of electric start as I get older. I have seen some of the older gentlemen need assistance to start their bike. I like to see the older gents on the track and maybe this motor source could help keep them on the track.

I'm no guru, but...

The CRF230 motor is quite different to the old XR200 motor - and not just because they've got the electric leg and the extra capacity. Even if you ignore those, you'd struggle to justify calling them a carry-over part.
Arguably, if it's going into an Evo bike, you could get away with calling it a 2012 model Slaker 230, but you'd want to have balls of steel if you try that.

If its for a pre-85 or pre-90 bike, your only real hope is that your local scrutineers and fellow competitors simply don't care...

slakewell evolution class has that rule about modications converting later equipment.nathan has touched on the two biggest problems the scrutineer and fellow competitors because one of the two will care/complain.anyhow how about a same year model xt250 with a sr250 (elec leg) motor or go buy a new yamaha ag 200
