Title: Honda 84 CR500 Rod Kit

I require a new rod kit for my 84 CR500 and having difficulties locating an aftermarket one. Can anyone help, point me in the right direction , other than genuine honda? Thanks.

Try www.Bluecitymotorcycles.com.au the last time i checked which was only the
other week they had an 84 model rod kit in stock and also i spotted one on ebay
few days ago in australia goin for around $150 bucks no bids..

The rod kits in your link are to suit 88 model onwards. They are longer so you have to run a spacer under the barrel. In my experience there is no replacement rod kit for the earlier model bikes from 87 back. I put a genuine 85 rod kit in my 84 500 but still had to get it slightly modified to fit in the 84 cases. The later kit is usable but mods are required which I personally have not done myself.
