Title: Weslake Metisse on vft.org
Post by: firko on December 16, 2011, 05:26:53 pm
This is a pretty late (1971) Mk4 Weslake Metisse that appears to be in tip top original shape (ignoring the flat spot on the front rim ;)) It's got the good options too, the 7" magnesium hubs and 41mm forks. The only things against it are that it's 2.5k over priced and you think he would have dusted it down for the photo. There's 2 years of dust on it which would mean you'll need to flush the oil in frame, the filters are probably rotten , the tyres are probably cactus and let's not forget having to replace the front rim. No matter how rare and desirable a bike is, asking top market price for a barn find is a bit of an ask.
