Title: ebay make a claim within 45 days !!!!

Hey Guy's,

I purchased something on ebay from America which was never sent to me, some other items that I have purchased have taken over a month to get to me so I had patiently waited but I made the mistake of waiting over 45 days, now ebay will not let me open a case on the matter because too much time has passed by.

but they get even worse than that.  I wanted to open a claim inside the 45 days and they said I couldn't as it was coming from overseas and I had to wait - when I then went to make the claim I was told - sorry too late!!!!

Which is totally opposite to my experience where they wouldn't wait at all for the overseas connection...simply closed the case..bye bye money.  >:(

I bought a sprintcar fuel pump from u.s which didnt arrive. @ 30 days I lodged A complaint with PP and had the money back in 3 weeks (about $300 U.S). Maybe I was lucky...

Is the clue then to lodge the claim directly with Paypal and not through Ebay ?     Anybody else have a similar experience ?

i bought some honda xl350 cam sprocket some s/s vavles and r&d v/springs after 5 weeks lodged with ebay thay stopped the guys paypal acc and ebay acc as they could see i had been emailing through the ebay replys.cut a long story short i see our posty and he is interested in bikes he knew i was waiting for some parts from the usa. he came across a badly damaged parcel with my suburb on it and thought it could have been mine it was sitting at the post exchange for over 2 weeks.sureenough it was my parts.cancelled the dispute and ebay reversed everything.
i was lucky

definately go through paypal aswell as ebay. paypal will get your money back alot better than ebay

Just bought a part via Ebay.
The seller was on the Gold Coast and it's overnight from there to here.
Waited 2 weeks with no word then asked them where the part was.
Got the normal bull so I started a Paypal claim.
Item sent within 2 days.
Was an overnight .
Apparently I'me a bit of a Prik according to the seller.
To give them the benefit of the doubt I didn't leave any feedback.  ;D
