Firko if you can get to CD 9 in an hour from your place you've either moved or done some serious tweaking to the XJ.
-
Who's Firkoif? ;)
-
Is that better steve ?
When coming for that drink ?
-
Make a time, Piney the slack arse doesn't return emails.
Curly, now no one will know what I was talking about.
Back on topic I'd love to see it closer to Syd, can only squeeze in one trip away a year.
-
Can't get any closer for you. PM sent

No need to tweak the old Jag Curly...it's still plenty quick enough to get me pinged for speeding to Lithgow Wallerawang in.....OK, let's say 90 minutes ::).

It'd be pretty hard to get much closer than that Steve....if you only get one trip away, make it this one, you won't regret it.

Oh now you are all just teasing!! lol The 1st one to tell I will personally deliver to their camping site a 6 pack of cold ones!! so who's 1st?

By the look of it, I win with my Wallerawang mention (above). A nice six pack of James Squire 'Six Wives' Pilsener will suffice!...... ;D ;D

No typos on the 'poster' but when our web person copied the text she made a few errors obviously. I'll get her to amend the mistakes.

Well, Well, Well..... As I predicted in July '11, the 2012 event will be held near Lithgow. As for a certain member publicly posting "he doesn't know what he is talking about", and "he's a muppert"....... I wonder if he is man enough to publicly apologize to me on the same forum ??? How about it "Davey Crocket" ? ???
-

-
Jeff - are you being pedantic?
-
VMX42, the coolness of the morning will send the brisbanites into hybernation if they are not for warned..
Brett
-
Jeff - are you being pedantic?
Yes Rosco, I am!!!!
And remember you taught me everything I know... ;)
-
If we were to get REALLY pedantic we should note that winter extends from the winter solstice to the vernal equinox and is dertermined by the planets not a fixed date. The equinox is somewhere around the 21st, so CD9 is in winter. Just one of my "grumpy old man" pet hates that we teach that spring starts on the first of September
-
Now gentleman if its dry and cold who cares-some vmx-some margareetas in the Klub Kevkar Tent and the universe will be at one!!

Wow!!! Now never it be said that I am one to trample on a grumpy old man's pet hates - that is a can of worms that I try to avoid.
But I am impressed that you tore yourself away from writing 'letters to the editor' to correct one of the many flaws in my education... and yes, you are REALLY pedantic...
Not that there is anything wrong with that... :D
-
I'm honoured

No....Get the race mentality out of your mind....it's not a race meeting, you can have a smily face :) on your number plates if you like. It's all here.....http://www.vmxmag.com.au/03_news_events/VMX_CD9_promo.pdf (http://www.vmxmag.com.au/03_news_events/VMX_CD9_promo.pdf)

No as what Firko said. this is a NON competitive social ride event, the whole emphasis is to enable a place to ride old bikes without the competition aspect, just go out and ride for as many or as little amount of laps you want in ride session periods. read the links that the others posted up it will explain it all in much more detail. its a great fun event and i recommend it on many levels.
if you love old dirt bikes you won't be disappointed.
-
without ppl yelling at you hey Hoony hahahahah
-
::)

Thanks for the info,
I just thought that they may want some sort of ID number on the bike in csase someone is being dangerous..
My cousinf told me recently that you cannot run dirt track in ACT unless you have a nu8mber on your jersey.
Cheers Brett
Will be there..

numbers and letters are used for many forms of identification in motorcyclibg.Mates chasing mates on the track.scorer's at the finish line.year/era's info.self worth.race programs id.photographers id.some riders have also had the same rider number all there lives. If anyone is dangerous they will be dealt with by the right officals and organisers at this social dirtbike event. The rider number is capped, perhaps so things dont get dangerous or out of hand.Im sure kenvmx or Ajay forum members will help out, if you need anymore info on CD9.Its a relaxed event-enjoy. 8)
