i have started my monty resto but all the alloy parts are very dull and dark some marks as well how do i go about making it all shiny again

Get them vapour blasted. No worries.

If there not to bad you could try 400-800 wet and dry then hit them with Autosol, hard work but they will come back to life.

As pop eye said. If you want 100% Bling take to polisher.

+1 for vapour blasting! Its a great base for polishing, annodizing or just painting.

I live in Victoria , Ferntree Gully. The vapor blasting is impressive. Where does one go for such work and does one ask for "Vapor blasting services " ? Is this superior to sand blasting ?

The vapor blasting leaves a smooth finish whereas sandblasting leaves a coarse finish.
If you want to do it in house you can buy a bench grinder and 3 different grades of buffing wheels some different grades of polish and spend a few nights getting black shit all over you as you learn the art of alloy polishing.

Hydroblast located in Sandringham 9597 0387. Give Greg a call before you go down. He does a great job and doesnt charge silly prices
