It would be a tragedy to let those 8 kms of lovingly groomed new trails go to waste, so the vinduro that was cruelly rained out last month has been rescheduled for January 29!
There'll also be a scramble track for kids, which will be open for juniors until 2pm. After that it will be combined with another (new) motocross track for some special test fun for the adults.
It is also tentatively planned that a red plate ride will take place on the Saturday (Jan 28).
Sta tuned for more details.

Grrr......Team Bent Forks won't be in attendance. Got a Ride to the Snowies conflicting. I asked the organisers if they'd change the date forward or back a weekend but they are not proving to be very helpful :(

I'll second that.

Just go via Castella - easy! ;)
I'm just worried about it being a stinkin' hot day, but 'experts' tell me that we can expect a cool summer... I'm keen to try out the new tracks that have been laid out.

2 Questions;
1) Are pre 75 motocrossers (with a headlight) welcome? and 2) If they are am I able to get around the track without a bash plate (Bultaco Pursang). NB Neither of these questions would need to be asked if I had my Frontera (with a bashplate) ready but I won't have and I am keen to ride. Thanks Jerry

1) Absolutely!
2) Yes, it should be ok. I haven't seen the new loop, but have ridden there previously several times, and it is not especially rocky. In fact I have ridden bikes with no bashplate there.
It will be great to see you and your Pursang there Jerry.

Wow, what a day! 79 riders at our first event for the year. Made all the more amazing by the fact it was the Australia Day weekend, and it was blazing hot.
It was great to see so many new faces, and different bikes.
Despite the heat, quite a few riders managed to clock up impressive lap tallies, including two chaps with 17 apiece.
Thanks to everyone who made the event possible; especially the officials/volunteers, first aid crew, Bingara Dell property owner, Discount Motorcycle Wreckers, Stacker Motorcycles, and anyone else I've forgotten.
Photos from the day have already started to appear on the Enduro Bike Talk forum and on the Vinduro forum, and I'm sure there'll be more soon.

Yep, it was good stuff but tough in the heat. I have over an hour of helmet cam footage, just have to find out how to load it.

Had a ball! ;D even my 66 year old dad who hadn't ridden in 4 years got out his one owner it 400D and did a few laps till the heat was too much. Thanks to all who made it possible

the missus and i had a great day despite her being exhausted and throwing up halfway through the first lap ;D a very well run event in some of the hottest conditions i have experienced on a trail bike, thanks to all the people that made it possible :)
looking forward to the next one at three bridges ;)
cheers Alex

Awesome turnout i had trouble getting a carpark .Faaark it was hot and the only bike i had going was my YZ400E ,i refitted the enduro lights it had on it and it was horrible on single trials ,but it was good to catch up with everyone and i,m looking forward to the next one .i better get out in the shed as i missed my little IT200 it would have made it a lot easier . My girls enjoyed the scramble track too . Thanks to everyone for organising a great day. i left early so i missed a few people but i will see ya at the next one . Hilly

How much fun was that?! ;D. After a few glitches I got into the hang of it. The 250 L seemed perfect for the occasion and I'd like to make it a full time Vinduro bike. The heat was a problem and I felt sorry for all those guys getting around with the full armour on :-X. Probably all trying to get in and see the medical girls about heat stroke....
Sorry I didn't get to catch up with you Hilly but I was on a bush walk back to my bike. Met heaps of great people and Drakie was the consumate host. Looking forward to the next one (when the skin grows back...) :P
Oh yeah. A big thanks to Graeme for talking me into going to it and his mate Brendon for supplying the evil looking headlight. Otherwise I would have been hummin' and harrin' about doing one for another five years ::).

The Ambo girls caught my eye also ;D my dad suggested he belt me one so I required medical attention haha
