Title: what engine is this

just got a motor in and for the life of me cant work out exactly what model  :'( engine number 575-000### is it a MX250  ??? looks simular to a DT250B but with blue, brown, black and red wires from mag cover that are bullet joiners and the head is differant but still twin plug  :-\  cheers

thanks for that  :D all my info had me thinking DT250 1975-1976 chassis/engine id. as 450,  then DT250 1977-1980 as 1M2 so thanks for the link i can sleep at nights now  ;D all the best on your quest.

YEr you mist one pete, there was a 5 series range after the 74 models.

ah yer its a never ending story  :P hey Kerry have ya got a head for a DT360A 1974 id 446 or should i just go straight to the B model 397cc top end id 501 (501 arn't they LEVI'S?)

any will work. you just need to choose the plug positions as there are a few on the DT/MX.   given then they also have differant Squish and CC.

360's are 360's till they went to the 400cc
