Title: Ossa phantom parts source
Post by: 09.0 on November 20, 2011, 01:11:20 pm
Has anyone had dealings with ossa world lately? They list heaps of parts that I require but nil stock on a lot of them. Also is there another source? Rod kit, piston kit, rear guard, seat foam and cover, gasket kit and oversize foot pegs with return springs are the majority of the parts I require. Is there another forum for ossa owners? Cheers.

Brad,
There are a few people in Aust that can also help,
the guy who advertises in the back of VMX mag does good seat restorations, also has a mould of GP2 tanks (not sure what your after), rods are best changed to the Yamaha YB125 unit (some crank work is required)
My experience with the U.S. guys are that they are unbelievable expensive.
Phil Young is also a ossa guru, Firko would be able to let you know if he's still around.
I will also P.M. you some details of a guy down the Goldie who is a bit of a ossa tragic...he may help, he may not. I sold him a gp2 a few years back, seemed like a nice guy.

I actually have a second hand pipe for a phantom in stock.
Its a GMC replica of the original but with a typical GMC built in steel muffler.
Hadn't been used much, dickhead owner is forever changing his mind ;D

good on you white boy. I think I will struggle on. Thanks to everyone for the info. For a rarer bird it should be a fairly easy task to restore.
To Geoff, at this stage I will run the up pipe that came with the bike. Tell me what you want for the pipe if I change my mind.

I will confirm about the pipe with the owner on the weekend.
I probably need to jig it before I send it off too.

Dont forget Steve Eastham down in Melbourne. Very good for Ossa Seat bases, tanks, badges, guards. Also plenty of Ossa experience. Cheers J
