What constitutes a "works" bike? How about a prototype water cooled YZ125 in an era of air cooled production machines... Trick!

Try the factory Yamaha racing dept ;D Pretty hard to buy works bike parts unless your name is Terry Good..

I've tried to obtain the same profile aluminium tube to make my own but to no avail :(

22mm x 30mm with rounded corners and obviously of a good quality :-\

I assume that size to be for the upper triangulated part, the lower main extrusions look square.
And is that the size of the production tubes or the size of the works tubes?
Tubing needs to be 6061

All the box sections should be that size and with rounded corners.
And yes 6000 series. Now you see my dilemma? Although I only have one choice,,,

Probably 78 or 79 with those type of sidecovers and the chain on the R/H side......being an OW, my guess 78.

Simon the AutoSport show is in a couple of weeks at the NEC. Every tube profile, material and grade you could ever desire will be there. I have the books from previous years if you need to know who makes the stuff. If you havent been it is worth a day out for a looksie....

Nah....just farked up in the head like most of youse.......dont ask me any Honda questions.....not interested in shitboxes. ;D......I'll tell you one thing though, I'll never restore a HQ for anybody again, that Monaro has done my head in....Ive named it "Christine", cause its gonna kill something.
