Cykel in Melbourne have got a handful of 19" vee rubber trials rears in this week. Get onto your Vic or sa dealer.
-
I'm happy to order for anyone. I'm located in Melb and have an account with Cykel.
-
HOw much and are they there normal trail tyre trials or the proper sticky soft trails ones ?
-
Would there be any advantage in using a 19" trials tyre over my first choice of a Kenda speedway tyre?
What's the thoughts from the fast blokes?
-
A trials tyre is definately better than a speedway tyre for dirt track. The speedway rears are very loose and break traction too easily, there is more drive with a trials tyre.
-
and then there trials tyres and trails universal. ( pass on the universal) there usually hard and slow
-
I made the call and the tyres are a Trials Comp radial 2 ply sidewall. The real deal. $149. LIMITED stock.
-
I think Firko meant Mitas Speedway Tyre?
-
by the way limited means we got 9 tyres at my request-someone owes me a can of Fanta :)

I'll second what JohnnyO said, I got given 4 of the Kenda speedway tyres to have a crack at the Vintage nats at Nudgee this year, having never done flat track I took there advice (found out later they hadnt either ???).....I've never shit myself so much riding a bike.....thought I was going to crash every corner....not having much of an idea if it was me or the tyres I decided to pull the pin (it was nearly finished anyway)....then a mate said no, lets put this Michelin on here and give it ago......chalk and chesse fellas......now I'm gonna give it a bash this year......not happy jan....you can guess where I told him to put his tyres......theres 4 of the farkers at work for free to anybody who wants them.
-
Now that there is funny, I can just see ridin around all day wrestling your bike with the 19 in speedway tyre on, next time check what the faster blokes use or recommend. Grasy6 has tried nearly every tyre in the market and has not given any dud advice to anyone. NB that speedway tyre can work but it will have to be ridden as if you have a death wish. Hope you make it to the next DT Nats mate.

so what is the width 3.5. 3.75 or 4.00
-
The Vee Rubbers are 4.25"

Folks ,they're all gone. more in Feb.

No they aren't Tornado ::). Folks, although I have sold 2 to forum members already I still have another 2 on the shelf. Get 'em now - $149 + post. 8)
-
I mean there are no more in wholesale until feb -its where I work. If you want any before then Canam has the last remaining few.
-
They work, remains to be seen if they are an advantage over 18''
-
Curious as well, it will save a lot of HF to convert or lace in an 18' on the moderns.
I reckon IF they work unlike the speedway trainwrecks on short circuit i could move 10 sets.... but how is the compound compared to the x10 or the new dunlops ? and what sort of flex inthe knobs is there.
Are the tyre wall shorter than the 18" or are they a taller tyre when fitted. might be interesting on sprockets/ tracks
