Got a DVD in the mail today from Wally aka Pancho, it's a slideshow of pix from the 1968 6 hour at Nepean, EA and I watched it over lunch and wow, what a collection of shots, Wally on his duplex Beezer fitted with a T100 engine, Jim Scaysbrook, Matt Daley, the pics show how Nepean was BITD and also the converted road bikes everyone rode.
Thanks heaps , Pancho , we really enjoyed watching it, and Oh Yeah , the sound-track , On the Road Again, Hey True Blue, performed by............. you guessed it , Wally himself !! great stuff , Wally.

Foss, that was probably the first one held at Nepean.
Dad's Tiger 100 with Billy Mac, Debo & someone else wore the #1 plate.
They led by a handfull of laps until the oil tank broke late in the race.
I'd love to see that, not to mention Punchy punchin out a tune.
Can you lift some pic's off it & post on here, with Wally's approval of course.

Thanks for your kind words Foss. Thanks to friends John Addams, Kevin Fuller and others, those photos that i've had since the event, were put onto cd for me.
My aim was to share the memory with as many as possible, especially my fellow old club mates Freddie Boyd, Bob Ely,Bill Dillow,Jimmy Winstanley.
Time is catching up with some of us more than to others and I'm glad that I got help to bring it all together. I'm not capable at this stage to put any pics on here so feel free to do so if you want/can.
cheers pancho.

I'm going over to Jonesy's* place tonight to watch Wals DVD with a bunch of old Kevlars, some who were there back then. I look forward to hearing Wals dulcet tones on the soundtrack!

One of my customers, Neville Burrows from Goulburn raced at Nepean many many moons ago. He's 77 now. Did any of you guys ride with him?
-
Hey Woody, didn't race with Nev, but did buy his Hagon JAP in 197?, saw him at the DT Nats at Griffith.

Never met Nev but remember him on the programme at Boxers creek and Nepean.
Boxers Creek was my next favourite track. The good old Lilac Festival race days!
Hey Firko, thats bad luck about Allans excersize exploits, nasty, hope it heals clean&quick. Also hope you get a kick out of the cd. Maybe you can put a name to some of the riders that I couldn't be sure of,.cheers

Wally, when I get one I'll pass a copy on to Billy & Debo, I'm sure they'll be able to name a few.
Pass on my regards to Jonsey Firko, achiles injuries can be very nasty.
